Forest and Environment News: Softwood Lumber – On April 29, 2005, it was announced that the Canadian Lumber Trade Alliance had jointed the Government of Canada in a US Court Challenge. See the News Release. On May 19, 2005 Canada requested that the WTO Panel review U.S. implementation in softwood lumber dumping case. Then on May 23, 2005 it was announced that the NAFTA Panel once again agreed with the Canadian position on subsidities. See the news release NAFTA Panel again supports Canada in softwood lumber dispute. | ||
